Citrus Leafminer on Sticky Cards
Citrus leafminer is an extremely small, light brown moth (microlepidopteran) and it is differentiated from other tan moths by the small black dots on the tip of the wings. If you would like assistance identifying the moths you can take the trap to your County Ag Commissioners office. County Agricultural Commissioners Office The type of trap shown here is a Jackson trap, however, other types of traps, such as delta traps can be used. The color and shape of the trap is not important, the moth will be attracted to any type. The important thing is to chose a small trap so that you have less surface area to search for the tiny moths.
